I will again be supporting the Christmas 2021 Appeal and hope that you can help with a ‘gift-wrapped’ box and goods for me to box up or a donation for goods and transport. Quiz Night

We’ve booked a Quiz Night in the village hall (with fish and chips!) on Saturday 23rd October, so please put that date in your diary. Watch this space for details of other events that are being planned.

 

Confirmation Service at St Margaret’s

The Bishop of Lewes, The Right Reverend Will Hazlewood, will be with us at 1800 on Sunday 21st November this year for a service of Baptism and Confirmation. We have two definite candidates for this. If you – or anyone you know – might be interested in being prepared for Baptism and/or Confirmation please let me know. Fr Anthony

 

Blister pack recycling scheme

Many thanks to those who have volunteered to deliver blister packs to the pharmacy in Brighton. We’re up and running!

 

Monthly Ecumenical Prayer Group on Zoom

Last Monday in each month at 2000 (next meeting 30th August) for 40 minutes free Zoom time. Everyone is welcome especially members of local churches and anyone is welcome to lead the Group if they want to – just let me know. It can include Ignatian Meditation, Lectio Divina, and any other ideas around prayer. If you would like to join us please email me for a zoom link at tracy.stickland@gmail.com. The church building is open all day for prayer and visits.

 

N.B. There will be no public Morning or Evening Prayer between 22nd and 29th August

The church services are being recorded ‘live’ on Sundays at 1000 with an edited half-hour service ready to be heard from Sunday afternoon, or Monday morning at the latest.

If you are new to our church and are planning to become a regular worshipper with us – welcome! Our members give generously of their time, their talents and their wealth. If you have a particular skill or interest that you might be able to offer, please speak with Fr Anthony or the Churchwardens.

 

After 6 months with us, you are eligible to join the church Electoral Roll to become a full member of St Margaret’s. Please speak with

Fr Anthony for more information.

 

Please consider signing up to the Parish Giving Scheme of regular donations by Direct Debit to support our day-to-day activities: forms are available at the back of church.

 

Please also consider leaving a legacy to St Margaret’s when writing your Will, and help to secure the building and our resources for future generations.

The church is being floodlit in the month of August by Barbara Webb in loving memory of Rupert Webb RIP whose 3rd anniversary falls on 27th August.
